On The Goldbergs Season 2 Episode 2, we get to see an original play by Beverly Goldberg, called Starlight Express! 

After Adam doesn't get the lead in the school production of, Jesus Christ Superstar, he asks his mom to put on a play of her own. Beverly comes up with the idea for a rollar-disco extravaganza called, Starlight Express.

Of course things do not go as planned and Erica becomes the voice of reason. She convinces her mom that Adam is musically challenged and is letting her play go to his head. Erica lets Adam know the truth and he accepts his shortcomings and joins the school play, Jesus Christ Superstar, as a member of the chorus.

Meanwhile, Murray makes it a point not to mess wit traffic. He even goes so far as leaving sporting events and concerts well before they are over. This causes him and Barry to miss one of the biggest moments in hockey. Barry lets his father know that he will no longer go to a hockey game with him and Murray scrambles to find people to go with him. He soon realizes that he misses Barry and promises him that from now on they will stay for the entire game.
