Adam shows of his love of George Michael by singing and dancing while he is filming himself on his beloved video camera; unfortunately things go wrong when the cabinet behind him collapses and Adam breaks his arm. Adam isn't sure if it was the fall the broke it or if it was Beverly diving in after him that did it. When Adam goes to school the next day he doesn't want to reveal his embarassing story to his friends so he comes up with the lie that he broke his arm while he was on a hoverboard. At first his friends don't believe him until he swears on his friendship with Emmy that it is all true -- Emmy backs him up and everyone believes him. Of course it quickly comes out that Adam didn't hurt himself on a hoverboard and when Adam reveals the truth to his friends, by showing them the video, Emmy is hurt by his lie. Adam begs her for forgiveness and tells her that they are going to go through their fights because they are more then friends; they're family. Emmy forgives Adam and the two enjoy some chinese food together.
Meanwhile, Beverly complains about how the family is ungrateful for his cook which makes Murray suggest that they go to this new Chinese restaurant so Bev can get a break. Unfortunately for Bev, the family falls in love with it and wants him every single night. Beverly tries to take action by making her own Chinese food but fails miserably! Beverly finally tells her family that the reason she is so against them always going to the restaurant is because she has always been the one to cook them meals every night and when they take that away she has nothing left. The family understands and they try to stay away from the Chinese restaurant but Beverly comes up with the idea that they should go once a week -- on Friday's.
