Recap

Shaun and Lea are eating pancakes in bed. They want to have sex but finish eating first. Shaun realizes they are better at pretending to get married than at getting married. Lea just wants to be married. No more dress fittings etc. Shaun finds an opening at the courthouse for the next afternoon.

Nruse Villaneuva tells Lim that it feels weird and scary not to be with her abusive ex.

Asher is having fun dancing with Jerome and Jordan when his ultra-Orthodox parents show up.

Asher's parents tell him that his father has terminal lung cancer. They are here because they believe G-d will provide a miracle through Asher.

Shaun gives back Morgan and Park's gift as they are not having a public wedding. Park gives it back to them anyway. Shaun gets paged and has to do.

Morgan tells Park she can't do lunch as she is applying to NYU for the sole purpose of gaining leverage to negotiate at St. Bonaventure.

Shaun talks to Asher's parents and orders tests. Asher is unhappy that they tell Shaun and everyone else G-d bless them.

Morgan and Park see a patient who is 99% paralyzed. She has pneumonia. Park and Morgan argue about the best approach. The patient wants surgery. However, when she wakes up afterward she has no use of her hand, which she uses to communicate.

Asher and his father have words at the MRI machine. Then his father collapses.

Shaun says they need to operate right away. Asher says but his CBC is low. There is no time.

Park says the patient can learn eye tracking. Morgan is upset because it takes months to learn. Park asks how her interview went. She is very excited but claims she is only answering his question and is not interested.

Morgan goes to see the patient. The husband is not interested in eye tracking. They tried it before and it didn't work. He and his wife watch a video of her before her stroke.

Lim won't take her blender back from Lea. Jordan implores Lea to open her present. It's a photo in a frame. Lea ends up opening all the presents.

While in surgery, everyone but Shaun has stories about their dads. It turns out the cancer is worse than thought and Asher's father only has a few weeks to live.

Park and Morgan argue in front of Lim about what to do. Morgan wants to do an experimental surgery that might give Steph her voice back. Park thinks it's a bad idea.

Mrs. Wolke is preparing for Shabbos by unplugging the TV and turning off the lights. Mr. Wolke invites Jordan to observe Shabbos with him. Park and Morgan attend also. They bless the bread and share it. Park whispers to Morgan that he's sorry about overreacting. She whispers back that she was offered a job.

The mood is ruined when Asher refuses to say the Jewish prayer for healing, as he does not believe in G-d. His father wishes Asher would honor him in his dying days. Asher insists they will find a surgery to save him. Mr. Wolke says he has accepted that he is dying and wants to go to G-d at peace. He wants Asher to come home. Asher says he can't be his father's son. He kisses Jerome and announces that this is his boyfriend, then leaves. Jerome stands awkwardly for a second, then leaves too.

Shaun asks Asher if he is trying to act more straight around his parents. Asher thinks his parents would be happier if he was straight. Shaun says his father didn't accept his Autism either but at least Asher's came to see him. Asher looks at the scans and says this cancer is like a faucet that cannot be turned off. That gives Shaun an idea.

Asher's father initially rejects the surgery. He wants to die at home with his family. Asher talks him into it.

Lea gets teary while making the AI recordings for the patient when she sees Steph and her husband at their wedding.

During surgery, Lim says that Morgan has a tough choice to make as here she is the doctor who can no longer do surgery.

Jordan tells Asher that he is being a jerk and that his father came here because he wants peace with him before he dies.

Shaun goes to Lea. She is sad about not having a wedding but insists she doesn't need one. Shaun talks to Glassman who says that people don't always know what they want.

Asher and his mother are in the chapel. They argue about his father. She thinks allowing his father not to have this surgery is assisted suicide and that Asher has abandoned G-d and cannot lecture her about morality. Asher says that he knows his parents love each other and that's why she doesn't want her husband to die.

Steph wakes up from her surgery and is able to use AI to say I love you to her husband.

Nurse Villanueva throws the flowers in the trash her ex has given her and tells Lim she has found an apartment of her own.

Jordan takes the flowers. Everyone surprises Shaun and Lea with a proper wedding when they get off the elevator.

Asher hugs his parents and tells them he loves them.

Glassman gives Shaun a ring from his great grandfather. Shaun asks if Glassman's father was a good dad. Glassman will only say his dad did his best.

The wedding is a happy occasion. Glassman makes a toast to Shaun.

Lim goes to get more glasses and finds Villanueva bleeding out on the floor. She calls for help but not before Villanueva's ex shows up and stabs her too.
