Shaun explains his surgical idea to Lim and Glassman. Andrews thinks it may work. Glassman insists it's too risky. Andrews wants them to find a surgeon that Lim is comfortable with. Lim doesn't object.

Asher sees a little girl who fainted. She says she did it last week too and didn't tell her parents. She's dressed as Cinderella. Asher bonds with her by singing Sondheim with her. Shaun walks in and asks why they are singing and why Asher is green. Shaun says the girl needs a pacemaker right away. He will do genetic workups to find out what's wrong.

Another patient has memory issues from and old TBI. His brother is with him. The brother's back is bothering him and he has lost weight without trying. Park wants to order lab tests and a CT for him.

Shaun is not paying attention while Lea is talking to him at lunch. He needs to look for Lim's surgery. She wants him to delegate.

In the elevator, Villanueva tries to convince Lim that the date with a neighbour is in fact a date. Morgan comes into the elevator and thinks all of Lim's clothes are not up to par for a date.

Jordan wants to focus on work and doesn't allow Perez to explain about last night. They find that the patient has pancreatic cancer.

Asher and Powell discover the little girl has a genetic disorder that explains the heart problem. Also it shows that the father is not Skylar's biological father. Shawn tells them during the surgery that he is delegating the problem of telling the father this to them.

The cancer patient has about eight months but there is a radical surgery that might give him more time. He tells them he wants the surgery. He was supposed to be watching his brother as a kid when his brother fell down the steps and became disabled.

Shaun has an approach for Lim's surgery that is more conservative but Glassman won't listen and says it doesn't reduce the risk enough.

Powell explains that Skylar has too high an iron level and that's what caused this. Asher tells the mother her husband doesn't carry the gene.  She says she was close with her husband's college roommate and she denied he was the one who fathered the child several years ago. She doesn't want to mess up her marriage now. She also doesn't want the biological dad involved. The doctors want to tell him only he has this gene. The mother says she must talk to her husband now.

Morgan comes over to help Lim pick out clothes. She says the only issues with these pants is they could be hard to get off. Lim says she's a different person with a different body now. She feels like she's racing to start her life over -- does she even like this guy?

Perez says he likes Jordan but can't date her but it's not about work and he still likes her -- can they be friends? Jordan is confused but gets back to work.

The bio dad realizes Jacob must be the reason he was called in here. He and Jacob get in a fist fight.

Shaun tells the residents that this did not work at all and that Andrews got on him about this. He has to work on Lim's surgery so they have to check on the pacemaker.

Jordan and Perez work with Park on the cancer patient. They find more cancer and can't finish the surgery.

Shaun goes to Glassman with a different idea for Lim's surgery. Glassman says he should apologize to Lim. Shaun says you're mad at me and that's why you're shooting down my ideas. He wants to know how long Glassman will be mad at him. Glassman doesn't know and leaves.

Skylar is in pain. She is jaundiced. Her liver is failing. She needs a partial liver transplant and nobody can get ahold of the bio dad.

The cancer patient is upset. He doesn't want to do this to his brother, who will end up in a group home when he dies.

Park wants Shaun to talk to the brother about his experience after Steve died to give him hope. Shaun refuses to do it and wants to focus on Lim's surgery.

Lea tries to reason with Glassman who still thinks "Taking responsibility" means that Shaun admits Glassman was right. She tells him that Shaun has ASD and Glassman needs to make the first move.

The brother thinks they are going on a trip. The patient is planning to go to some risky out-of-country clinic because his brother can't live without him. Perez tells him how cutting his brother off got him to stop using heroin.

Glassman sees some father yelling at his daughter and has a flashback of arguing with Maddie because she hit some girl who was bullying her.

Shaun gives Skylar's parents the bad news but says they have to figure out together how to get Mick to donate.

The patient tells his brother they're not going to Mexico. Ollie asks if he is dying. He says yes but they will spend every minute together and he will find him a great group home. Ollie says he knows someone who is in a group home and he says that he has his own room and the people are nice. Pere watches as they hug.

Glassman comes to see Shaun. He says no matter how mad he is he never stops loving Shaun. He didn't tell Maddie that enough. Shaun is confused by this. Glassman says he loves him and he has non-emotional reasons for shooting down his earlier ideas but maybe the endoscopic plan will work.

Mick is singing somewhere and meets Lea at the bar. She compliments him and asks him if she can show him something. She shows him a video of Skylar singing. Lea tells him this is his daughter.

Shaun explains the plan to Andrews and Lim. Lim is surprised Glassman came around. Andrews says this is not a medical question. Lim says she will think about this.

Lim meets her neighbour who thinks she looks snazzy. The restaurant doesn't have a wheelchair ramp. They offer to have someone carry Lim upsairs Joseph suggests they bring a table down to the courtyard instead.

Mick goes to see Skylar.

Joseph brings Lim home later. He's sorry about what happened. He realizes she wants him to go.

Lim is in the elevator looking sad. Powell gets in.  She says she guesses it wasn't a date. Lim doesn't want to talk. She says it never occurred to Joseph that it was a date. Powell advises her not to go for the surgery. She's trying to get her old life back.

Skylar awakens and asks what happened. Her parents tell her the doctors fixed her up and this man gave her part of his liver. Skylar asks who Mick is. He says he's Mick.

Perez says goodnight to Jordan. She says five years sober, huh? Do you even have a brother? Perez says he's the addict, not his brother. Jordan asks if his addiction is why they can't date. He says he had a relapse six months ago so his first priority is his sobriety and the second to be a surgeon. He can't add another priority without risking the others. He hopes they can be friends.

Lim tells Shaun she doesn't want to have the surgery. Shaun asks why. Andrews says it's not his business. Shaun goes on and on as Lim leaves and Glassman yells at him to stop. Shaun says it's not fair. Glassman says he will try to explain.

Lea comes to see Shaun and says he did the right thing trying. He says it accomplished nothing. Lea says when she went to Hershey she thought it would fix things with her family and it didn't but she was glad she did it. Shaun says that makes no sense. Lea says it's better to do your best and fail than regret not trying.

Shaun comes to talk to Ollie and his brother.
