The Good Doctor Season 3 Episode 6 is all about communication.

While practicing for leading surgery, Shaun gets freaked out because Morgan and another nurse suggest that Carly doesn't consider him her boyfriend. Shaun is upset because Carly was busy when he called her and he could hear friends in the background and abruptly ends the practice session.

Later, Morgan makes Claire intercede and Claire tells Shaun that she spoke to Carly and Carly was just listening to a podcast. Morgan thinks this is a bad idea, but Claire thinks her lie will help Shaun concentrate in surgery.

During the surgery, Shaun mostly does well, but gets upset when a nurse hands him a clamp in a weird way and kicks the nurse out. Lim later tells Shaun he can't do that and must apologize, but Shaun instead gives the nurse a history of clamps and she tells him to go away and files a complaint. Lim tells Shaun he must apologize properly and must never let this happen again.

Meanwhile, Melendez is also on the hot seat with Lim when he doesn't run a difficult procedure by her first, and later disagrees with her about the right way to proceed.

And Glassman is unhappy when Debbie loses her job and wants to work as his office manager.
