On The Good Doctor Season 3 Episode 12, Claire and Melendez treat a teenage girl who has brain cancer. Angie is desperate to see her boyfriend, who is now cancer-free, but her mother won't let them be together, supposedly because Angie's immune system is compromised.

Claire believes that seeing Ryan will aid Angie's recovery and becomes determined to allow them to see each other. After Angie's mom goes home, she arranges for them to have a private prom.

The next day, Angie goes into surgery but her tumor is inoperable.

Meanwhile, Shaun, Morgan, and Lim see a patient who has severe swelling in his leg. Carly runs some tests and discovers that the patient has a rare genetic condition that could kill him. She suggests testing different treatment protocols on zebrafish to see which one is safest.

Shaun is assigned to work with Carly, which is awkward because they are semi-fighting after she puts a stop to their makeout session for some reason and Shaun realizes there is tension between them.

And finally, Morgan's medication regime is making her sick but she doesn't want to admit it to anybody.
