The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 5 revolves around Shaun's attempt to fix things with Lim by reversing her paralysis.

Shaun proposes a surgical intervention, which Glassman says is too risky. Andrews tells Shaun to find a less risky way to get it done. Shaun delegates all his work so that he can focus on this, but Glassman constantly shoots down his ideas and Shaun thinks it's because Glassman is still angry at him.

Meanwhile, a little girl comes into the hospital with a heart condition. She has a rare genetic disease, and genetic testing shows her father is not her bio dad. The mother admits to an affair with a college roommate. The residents track down the bio dad to explain that he is a carrier and should have his other kids tested. He ends up getting into a fistfight with the girl's other father.

Skylar's condition worsens after the pacemaker is put in; her liver goes into failure and she needs a living donor within a few days or she will die. Mick refuses to help because he doesn't know this girl and has a family of his own to think about. Lea goes to the bar where Mick is performing and shows him a video of Skylar singing and he relents.

Elsewhere, Park has a patient who is dying of cancer and is afraid of what will happen to his disabled brother when he goes. Park wants Shaun to talk to the patient about his experience after Steve died, but Shaun doesn't see the point when it won't fix the man's medical condition.
