The amulets are meant to forever protect the Merriwick gift from the red-haloed moon.

Patience and Fortune received them when they were children, and Patience gave hers to her sister when she ran off with William.

Joy wakes up to an idea, which includes smashing the wall in her bedroom to reveal a door.

The Merriwicks visit the room where Patience and Fortune had been practicing music and weaving. Joy wonders if Cassie's scrying was off like the rest of their powers, and Abigail wonders if Joy's dreams are iffy, too. But Joy thinks they should search the entire house from top to bottom.

Sam finds everyone beginning the search. Abigail can feel that Sam is trying to avoid Cassie. In the kitchen, Cassie sees her parents, who are praising her. She goes for the tea and burns herself. Sam helps her rinse it off. They're still very off.

When Martha gets to the Bistro, Joy sees a vision that Tom is holding a secret from her.

At the same time, Tom is with Sam at the hospital, revealing that he's keeping it from Martha.

Sam wants Tom to have Martha there, but Tom doesn't want to make it a big deal.

Adam is worried about Sam.

Stephanie is thinking about the almost kiss. George once almost kissed someone, and she wonders why he didn't seal the deal. She's worried Adam's too comfortable.

Abigail says what Dotty was going to say to Davis. She can't stop.

Joy hasn't told Zoey about the missing amulet, but George kind of outs the event. Joy lied to Zoey, and Zoey wonders why Joy didn't ask her to help. Joy tells Zoey she's a witch.

Martha thinks she discovers Tom's secret.

Joy and George talk about what happened with Zoey. But if Zoey can't handle who she is, then they're better off not together.

Stephanie wants to get together with Adam but worries that she'll think about him the whole time she's in Paris instead of learning. Martha says if it's meant to be, it will be.

The music is driving Donovan nuts with the bad notes, but it pulls apart the puzzle thingy.

Joy has another vision of Zoey saying that she can't do this.

They discuss magic, and Joy says she even tried to fly on a broom once but got stuck in a tree. Just then, a stair pops up with a book inside.

It's Fortune's diary. Maybe she wrote the location of the amulet inside. Dotty and Davis are arguing. Dotty is done.

Cassie's mom knows that Cassie doesn't want to find the amulet. She wonders why they have magic. Here's the info about the three purple satchels.

Meredith showed a traveler kindness such as she never knew. She gave Meredith three purple pouches and was clutching an amulet. She had transferred her powers to Meredith and her family forevermore.

Davis warns Donovan and Abigail not to let what happened to him and Dotty happen to them.

Zoey is struggling with it, but she talks to Sam about it. It's to Sam that she says she doesn't think that she can do it. Sam says that they didn't choose to be witches. It's part of who they are.

He's looking around the room with spyglasses and sees text on the purple satchels.

Tom is having heart surgery. His mitral valve is being replaced on Friday. Martha cannot believe he's just telling her now. If it hadn't been for the Davenports, he wouldn't have told her at all.

She assures him that it would never happen to them, and he says going through that alone hasn't been easy.

Cassie wonders what they'd be like without their gift. Her mom assures her that she is not only her gift. But mom knows better and a lot more.

Stephanie kisses Adam. She still loves him, but she wants to be with him even if she leaves for Paris. Adam agrees with a fiery kiss.

Abigail wants to get married now. This week. Let's elope. She doesn't want to wait. She wants to do it now.

Cassie's mom apologizes to Cassie for not priming her for her powers so that she could have known what her premonition means. Cassie wonders why they can't see their own futures, and it's because you don't spoil the gift.

The latch on the hope chest is the mold for the amulet. But it's getting too late... the Merriwicks are down for the count.
