When you watch The Librarians Season 2 Episode 10 online, the Librarians discover that magic is seriously interfering with technology throughout the world. Power is out, the Internet is no more, and not even batteries can hold a charge as Prospero's plan nears its fruition. He is remaking the Earth into a massive arboreal paradise, the way he wants it. The Librarians realize it's now or never if they're going to stop Prospero and save the world. They just need the pieces to the magic staff. Flynn Carsen realizes that they know exactly where the staff is: in the past. He and Eve decide to use one of the time travel devices in the Library to travel to the past (1611 Englad, to be specific) to get their hands on the staff to save the day and defeat Prospero. Of course, things go wrong almost instantly, not least of which being the magic orb they used to time travel abruptly shatters, essentially trapping them in the past.
