When a DEA raid goes wrong, the FBI is called in to investigate but Bill Peterson at DEA tries to strong arm Abbott about the investigation alluding to when he covered for Abbott during Rio Bravo Station years ago.

DEA Agent Darrell Gonzalez who had a confrontation with Steven Korbell, restauranteur and supposed drug dealer for the Sosa cartel, ends up dead in his home after the raid. Jane figures out that Korbell has an inside man in the DEA. He thinks Gonzales figured it out and that's what got him killed. 

Abbott confides in Jane that ten years ago, he killed a Zeta cartel commander he believed was about to kill a bus full of innocent people. Peterson is threatening to turn Abbott in if he doesn't turn the investigation his way. Abbott could go to prison. Lena's career could be destroyed in the process.

Jane has Vega arrest Peterson for murder as he gathers ten other agents, claiming one of them is the killer. Cho, Lisbon, and Abbott each confront one of the agents. Agent Roscoe pulls his gun on Cho and shoots but the bullets were replaced with blanks when Jane gathered them all together. Roscoe admits to being a mole for the cartel for years and no one caught him, until now.

Wiley is about to ask Vega out on a date when another agent asks first. Vega turns him down saying she is only interested in focusing on her career right now. Wiley backs off.

It's Jane's birthday and he claims he can guess what Lisbon is going to get him but he appears truly surprised when she gives Jane his blue teacup from the CBI, all put back together.
