When Marie Flanagan won't give up the location of her boyfriend, Cole who runs a high-end car theft ring, Teresa Lisbon must go undercover as her cellmate in jail to get her to talk as the CIA believes that Cole has contact with terrorists overseas who are buying his cars.

Jane give Lisbon tips on lying before she goes in but his best advice may be about opening up. When they can't find Cole they go with a new plan. It's time to break out of jail. The FBI plans to tail Lisbon and Marie to find Cole but the driver manages to ditch the FBI tail. Then things go horribly wrong when Cole kills a gas station attendant in front of Lisbon.
Jane manages to read the clues at the murder scene but when rookie agent Vega won't break protocol, Jane must rush to the rescue without backup. He steps in just as Cole puts a gun to Lisbon's head but it Jane's distraction only buys a few moments and then they're both in danger, until Abbott and the team finally catch up.
