Mindy goes on a date with a new guy, but it does not go well. She turns to Peter for some advice, much to Danny's disappointment.

Peter encourages Mindy to think more like he does when it comes to dating. To test his advice, they head out to a bar, where they meet Lee (guest star Max Greenfield), a smooth-talking first-grade teacher. Mindy goes home with him only to wake up the next morning alone.

Meanwhile, Danny tries to give relationship advice to Tamra who he catches hooking up with Morgan.

Mindy finds a scarf Lee left behind and thinks it is a sign he wants to go out again. She and Peter go to his school to return the scarf. Lee tells her to leave and that he is not interested in another date. They realize Lee is Married and Peter punches him.

Morgan finds out that Danny told Tamra she should not date Morgan and he in turn gives his boss the cold shoulder.
