Recap

On The Originals Season 2 Episode 5, a party at Marcel's is broken up by moonlight ring-wearing werewolves under Esther's orders. The vampires are told to leave the city or pay with their lives. The vampires want to fight to defend their territory but feel unsure how to go about it. Elijah helps them develop a plan and teaches Mia to fight.

After learning that Esther and Finn plan to force teen wolves to activate their curses, Aiden and Oliver go to Hayley, Elijah, and Marcel for help in getting the teens out of New Orleans. Esther and Finn show up just as Elijah and Oliver finish off a pack of werewolves to take Elijah with them.

Klaus overhears a conversation between Cami and Davina and divines Davina's location. He needs Cami's help in reaching Davina and defeating Mikael. Cami, in therapy with Finn, reveals that she sees goodness in Klaus. She tries to help him see the good in the world before he goes off to battle Mikael.

Davina has taken Mikael to her family's cabin in the woods. He tells her that magic can only fight half her battles and she asks him to teach her how to be strong. When they fight and she is injured, she calls Kol to help her heal. While he's there, he stumbles upon the spell she's casting to unlink the sire lines from the Original vampires and grows curious.

Kol encounters Mikael while snooping for the White Oak stake and offers to unspell her bracelet in exchange for his life. Klaus arrives but Davina and Kol have spelled the house so that it appears vacant. Mikael's staff gives their presence away and Kol unspells Davina's bracelet while she is unconscious.

Klaus manages to put Papa Tunde's blade into Mikael just as Cami arrives at the cabin. He vows not to hurt Davina and Cami hugs him.

The Originals Season 2 Episode 4 Quotes

This is a city of death. Fires, floods, to say nothing of the violence we do to each other. We may laissez bon temps rouler, but really we've turned life into one big party to distract ourselves from a single unavoidable truth. We're all going to die.

Cami
