The Mikaelsons are back together on The Originals Season 2 Episode 9. The bonfire ceremony spreads throughout New Orleans with a flashback to the night Kol stole the Paragon diamond and lost his witches.

In the present day, Kol and Davina are trying to prevent Esther from using Cami's body as Rebekah's mortal form. To change the dagger, they need to find the diamond Marcel took from Kol.

Rebekah and Elijah arrive at their secret spot, joined shortly thereafter by Klaus and Hayley who are reunited with Hope. Rebekah and Hayley make them all play a childhood wish game and Klaus taunts Hayley about her decision to marry Jackson.

Cami convinces Marcel to let her take Finn out of the coffin so that she can seek his help to avoid Esther putting Rebekah into her body. That proves to be a dead end when he vows once and for all to see the end of all vampires and those who stand with them.

Elijah wonders if one of them taking Esther's deal might put a stop to her quest to see all of them in human form again. Rebekah vows to take their mother down by accepting her offer. Kol agrees to help them but needs both the diamond and the White Oak stake to complete the job.

When Klaus and Rebekah leave the safe house to meet with Esther, Hayley tells Elijah that to free the wolves and save New Orleans, she has to marry Jackson. He tells her to do what it takes to save her people.

Esther visits Mikael to discuss their children. He wants the right to kill Klaus after she has changed their remaining children over. Kol alters the terms of the spell slightly, but Rebekah and Klaus are successful in defeating Esther.

We're not so bad. We're not the monsters that our parents think we are.

Kaleb: I think I'd be a bit testy too if my old ex was about to jump into my new ex. I think that'd be a bit eh...
Cami: Awkward?
Kaleb: I was going to say kinky, but that'll work.
