In The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 2, Elena turns to Alaric to help her move on from Damon. They plan to use a bunch of hypnotherapy combined with compulsion. However, it can't work until Elena admits the moment she knew she loved Damon.

Jeremy starts off by sleeping with the girl who Elena bit. Matt is pissed off that Jeremy doesn't care about anything. Meanwhile we find out that Jeremy has been paying Bonnie's cell phone bill just so he could leave her messages every night. The one we heard wasn't the nicest message, but who knows about the rest. Everyone mourns in their own way.

We flashback to Bonnie and Damon 4 months ago in an alternate Mystic Falls. They walk through town and realize that it's 1994. Gram said she sacrificed something so Bonnie would have peace. She sent her somewhere and holding Damon's hand brought him. 

Bonnie realizes that if magic brought them there, it should bring them back. However, they soon realize that they keep reliving the same day. May 10, 1994. After 2 months they realize that they aren't alone as somebody has filled in the rest of Bonnie's crossword.

Alaric reveals to Caroline that Stefan hasn't been doing anything to try and bring Bonnie and Damon back. But Enzo has! A witch tells him to look for The Gemini Coven in Oregon. Enzo decides he'd rather reunite with Stefan instead. He and Caroline drop in on his dinner with Ivy.

Enzo and Stefan have it out after Caroline leaves in hysterics. She realizes that Stefan hasn't been listening to any of her messages because he needed to move on. This is a move sure to piss off people hoping those two would finally hook up. Enzo kills Stefan's girlfriend.

We later find out that Thomas Fell is on the Mystic Falls safety committee and he's been killing vampires.
