Rand is constantly approached in his dreams by the Man, who he thinks is the dark one, but no one knows for sure.

The Trollocs launch their attack on Fal Dara, leaving the city to defend itself with the forces that it has.

Moiraine and Rand reach the Eye where he has visions of Dragon's past, and then eventually passes out. In his dream state, he sees a perfect life.

The Two Rivers, a content Egwene as a mother... everything seems perfect.

Moiraine cradles his unconscious body when The Man shows up, and removes her ability to channel.

Egwene and Nynaeve join Lady Amarisa in helping her summon.

When she summons, the power is so strong that it kills two other women from Fal Dara who can channel, and eventually, Amarisa herself.

Rand sees through the Man's dream and gets rid of him (for now), and heads on his own journey.

Lan finds Moiraine broken and in pain, not able to connect herself to him or the one power.

Lord Agelwar falls, as does his sister, but their beloved city is saved.

Perrin finds Padan Fain and learns he's a darkfriend, and witnesses him slaughter Loial.

Nynaeve sacrifices herself for Egwene, but somehow gets revived (possibly by Egwene).

Mat seems to have taken the darkness fully inside of him, while an unknown large army attacks an unknown shore.
