A truck rams into a car, and when the driver checks for pulses, the driver of the car starts biting him, and the other passengers wake up. They start looking in the back of the truck and find a box, but the amulet they're looking for isn't there. Though they do find something that will help them.

John and Mary try to figure out who the guy in the picture is, and John wishes he had followed him. Mary, however, doesn't want to think about the picture; she just wants to think about them. Unfortunately, Kyle, Mary's reporter friend, interrupts them.

John is tired of sneaking around and wants to tell Lata and Carlos, but Mary's afraid it'll mess things up between them all.

Lata and Carlos are working the truck case, and Lata sees the box getting bagged, which has the letters RJM on it, as well as the Men of Letters symbol. The other truck driver tells Carlos what happened and that one of them bit his partner. Mary shows up, and Carlos catches her up on the vampires and the amulet. Lata thinks it has to do with the Men of Letters because of the box.

Lata wants to check the locker rooms at the clubhouse in hopes that the information she needs is there.

At the clubhouse, the four make their way through a new part of the place they haven't been in that is a bit eerie. They get to the locker room and find a locker with the initials on it. Mary finds the amulet the vampires are looking for, and when John grabs it, he gets a vision of a vampire killing him.

After doing some research, Lata finds out that the amulet has the ability to tell the future, as it belonged to the Gods of Fate. She and Carlos leave to dig deeper while Mary worries about John.

Betty meets with Millie, expressing her worries about John and his new friends. Knowing what they're all really up to, Millie pretends she knows nothing about Mary, but she promises she'll keep an eye on them.

The group converses with an expert on the mythology, Diana, who tells them that once an object reveals your fate, it's sealed. She doesn't let them leave, and the vampire from John's vision, who kills Diana. As John, Mary, and Lata fight the vampires, one of them finds his fate on the amulet and tells John that it's not his time yet, but it will be soon.

After escaping through tunnels, Lata expresses her worries about John, and Carlos apologizes about the expert, but John knows it was fate. Mary calls Millie so she can watch over John while the rest of them go after the vampires, despite John's dismay about being benched. Mary tries to comfort John, assuring him that he's going to make it, and John agrees to read up on vampire lore.

Mary shows up at Diana's place, and Betty spots her. She confronts Mary about what she's been doing and her impressive RAP sheet and threatens her about putting John in danger. Lata and Carlos were able to sneak in and get Diana's ledger.

Millie tells John about Betty and subtly admits she thinks he's going back to his old ways, but she knows he can handle himself either way. She changes the subject so they can return to learning about monsters and not talk about their feelings.

Mary, Lata, and Carlos arrive at the vampire nest, looking through some of the things at the house, and Carlos sees some maps of the Clubhouse. Mary warns John and Millie, but it's too late. There's an explosion, and the exit is blocked. Lata finds a vault one level below that they can lock themselves in, and the two run for their lives.

Millie and John make it to the vault, and outside, the others get ready to fight. With Carlos getting holy water on his hair, he takes care of the problem as Mary runs inside.

Millie gets the lights on in the vault, and John recognizes they're in the room where he dies.

Once inside, Mary starts fighting vampires and winning. Meanwhile, the vampire that's supposed to kill John is still pounding on the door, but John has an idea, even though Millie's going to hate it. The vampire gets into the vault and bites John, who had dead man's blood on him. John convinced Millie to kill him since dead men's blood stuns a vampire, in the hopes that the others can restart his heart.

Mary and Millie desperately try to restart John's heart, and after it seems hopeless, he wakes up, gasping for air. Mary goes in for a long kiss, and Carlos and Lata just stare at them, as they already knew.

Anton stitches up Carlos' leg, and the two agree to a second date after Carlos apologizes for not calling him.

John and Mary put the amulet in a safe space, happy that John is okay and that they no longer have to hide their relationship.

Betty and Kyle talk to each other at a restaurant, knowing something is off about Mary, John, and everyone else. Kyle gives Betty files on the group, and it's revealed that Kyle has marks on the back of his neck.
