Rachel's frustration with Quinn's presence becomes increasingly apparent -- she planned out the whole season with Tommy, but Quinn still officially runs the show as the executive producer. Their mentor/mentee statuses are becoming shakier with Tommy's relationship with her growing stronger and Quinn's annoyance with Rachel's dominance on set. Quinn wants to have an abortion because she feels she and Chet are not ready for a child. Quinn exerts her authority by rigging one of Tommy's contestant games so that Rodrigo, an old fan favorite and Noelle's dating target, stays in.

The contestants go on a yacht date. Tommy tells Rodrigo to stand up to Candy because she isn't who she says she is while Rachel manipulates Candy into aiming for Rodrigo. Amidst the spat, Candy pushes Rodrigo overboard.

Rachel subsequently convinces Roger to pick Candy and make a speech about respecting women to assuage "rumors" about him assaulting Maya, which Maya is extremely upset about. Rachel hooks up with August under the guise of letting Maya have some alone time to cool off from seeing Roger. After Chet brings in a doctor to give Quinn an ultrasound, Quinn discovers it probably isn't Chet's baby because the baby is much older than five weeks -- it can only be August's.
