Mel asks Jack if seeing his military buddies is hard on him, but he brushes her off.

Doc breaks things off with Muriel, telling her he’s reconciled with Hope. Hope gives Muriel a pie to apologize for how things went down with Doc, and Muriel warns her she knows Hope will mess things up with him again.

Lizzie convinces Ricky to take his grandma’s car (without permission) and go shopping in Eureka. The two get in a car accident on the way home.

Lilly backs out of the sale of her farm after finding out Calvin owns the lumber company.

Charmaine is healthier and allowed to move out of Hope’s and go home.

Jack wanted to go rafting with his Marine buddies, but Josh and the others refuse since Jack had obviously been drinking.

Charmaine shows Jack all of the baby stuff her friends and family bought and put together for her while she was gone, and Jack panics at the sight of it all. Jack returns to the river, but Preacher calls Mel to stop him from doing anything dangerous.

Jack opens up to Mel that someone was missing from their Marine reunion. The fact that he couldn’t protect him makes him feel like he won’t be able to protect his kids.

The day before the anniversary of Mark’s death, Doc and Hope help Mel memorialize him by setting sail a toy boat, as sailing was one of Mark’s hobbies.

Jamie asks Preacher why he’s wasting his talents in a small town like Virgin River, tempting him to consider a new career path.
