Carl Hagan approaches Neal with a deal to help him free Peter that’s too good to walk away from, requiring him to forge a confession from his father and get it placed in the right hands in exchange for a smash and grab Neal eventually has to investigate.

While the plan to exonerate Peter works, Neal’s ability to hold up his end of the bargain is complicated when he’s forced to investigate it after the fact with Peter.

At the same time, Peter has been offered the head role in the White Collar division as well as an eventual offer to move on to a job in DC.
