Recap

Wynonna, Waverly, and Doc arrive back in Purgatory 18 months later.

Wynonna is placed under a citizen's arrest for the murder of Nedley and is almost hanged. The new sheriff saves Wynonna and places her in jail.

Waverly acts as Wynonna's lawyer to try to get her free.

The new magistrate named Cleo then announces there will be a chili cook-off for all the arrestees, and the winner will get a 'get out of jail free' card.

Waverly and Nicole help Wynonna with the cook-off at Shorty's, but Nicole leaves midway through to check on the Homestead and Rachel.

Meanwhile, Doc investigates what happened to Nedley and his search leads him to Mercedes, who last saw him.

Mercedes said an injured Nedley ran off into the woods and was most likely eaten by the troll that has been terrorizing the town.

Doc then goes after the troll and realizes something may be off.

He goes to talk with Nicole and Rachel, and they piece together the troll is Nedley.

Back at Shorty's, Wynonna wins the cook-off, but instead of being set free, Cleo takes Wynonna to the edge of town, ties her up, and tries to feed her to the troll/Nedley.

Waverly, Nicole, and Doc come to Wynonna's rescue and are able to bring Nedley back.

Nedley then reunites with his daughter Chrissy, and as Chrissy leaves town, she tells Jeremy his friends are back.

At the end of the episode, Wynonna is kidnapped.
