Our survivors head to Province Town, a location marked on Hammond's map as a resupply place. Major Williams is alive and well and happens to be a friend of Charlie Garnett. The Major offers the weary travelers food, water and a place to sleep. Of course, things aren't what they seem. Trouble had been brewing between the Major and Jacob, a preacher with a twisted view of the zombies. Jacob and his flock had been forced out recently due to dangerous beliefs about the resurrected. The preacher selects 3 "anointed" followers to return to Province Town, commit suicide and infect the folks inside the compound. His plan almost worked too but he wasn't counting on Charlie, Roberta and the gang to be there. When all hell breaks loose our heroes fight bravely taking out one zombie after another. Unfortunately, they are eventually caught and brought before Jacob. As the preacher is about to sacrifice Charlie, a Z stirs in a cage behind them. It's no Z, that's Murphy and he's unharmed by the other zombies in there with him. Murphy proves he's the true incarnation of the resurrected. When Jacob attempts to take Murphy down, Charlie jumps in front of him and is shot. The zombies from the cage run free, attacking Jacob's followers. As Charlie lay there dying he professes his love for Roberta. Doc and Mack pull her away to safety but she takes 10K's gun and give Charlie Garnett mercy. The preacher not so much. Roberta wounds Jacob allowing the zombies to attack him. What goes around comes around.
