After Mitch's death, Zoey has been staying with Maggie.

She returns to work six weeks later and is upset over how things have changed.

Before her return, she meets with Max for coffee and he gives her a ring to use as a shield to keep out the world.

Zoey meets her new colleague George, and Joan offers her the job of executive of the fourth floor.

Though Zoey is unsure, she decides to take the job in the end, as Joan is leaving to run the Asian division of SPRQPoint.

Zoey also deals with Mo, Max, and Simon becoming friends.

Max and Simon say they respect Zoey and don't want to compete over her.

At the end of the episode, Zoey and Max kiss.

Max struggles to find inspiration for his new company and stumbles upon the idea of creating a restaurant that orders food from other restaurants.

He later approaches Mo about going into business together.

Maggie struggles with Mitch's passing, and the family finds testimonials left by Mitch before he died.

Maggie doesn't want to watch them but is glad she did in the end.

David and Emily adjust to being new parents, and Maggie confesses to Zoey she feels bad about not holding Miles because she and Mitch were supposed to be grandparents together.
