1. Underground

Underground was watched by a very large audience on WGN America, but that doesn't mean more people can't tune in. It's a different view of slavery, in that it takes the time to humanize the experience and lend credence to the individuals who were told day in and day out they were less than, but who never forgot they were never what they were told. Set to a modern soundtrack and allowing the characters to have humor, feel love and genuine emotion, they're experiencing their own lives to the fullest, regardless of their situation, while still moving mountains to change their circumstances. It was also a time when they leaned on the help of their white sympathizers and the two races together finally did move those mountains. It's well worth the watch!

2. Kingdom

This one isn't only on viewers, as it's on a restrictive network. Kingdom is an absolutely fascinating series that airs on ATT Uverse, so if you don't subscribe, you don't get to see it in the US. What a shame! If they don't mind my saying, they should really consider putting earlier seasons elsewhere so others can see the amazing story and acting of a retired MMA fighter played by Frank Grillo who runs a gym and coaches fighters, including his sons, played by Nick Jonas and Jonathan Tucker, as well as other fighters, including Matt Lauria. The women in his life include Kylie Sanchez and Joanna Going and the stories are relentless in their raw and personal nature. Watch a couple episdes and you're in for the long haul. By being so restricted, this one is dodging a very large audience.

3. Legends of Tomorrow

Everyone talks to much about Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow, but they've completely left out DC's Legends of Tomorrow because of the nightmare of Season 1. Meanwhile, Season 2 has been incredible! With new characters to wash away the wicked stick left behind, the humor and heroes are better than ever. Great camaradarie, interesting journeys and a whole lotta fun.

4. 12 Monkeys

12 Monkeys has had to fight for each of its renewals, but I cannot even imagine if it hadn't made it to the second season. What an amazing season it was! It almost felt like a different show from the first. It was less clinical and more character driven, and the stakes felt so high. Did it have more or less viewers? I don't even know, but there weren't enough for all the passion poured into this project. The twists in the writing and the curveballs you never see coming are so worth the ride, and the acting is top notch. So much humor, too! It's a wild ride. Jump on board!

5. Halt and Catch Fire

If the awards can't find Halt and Catch Fire, there's no way viewers are going to find the gem on AMC that gets little to no promotion at this point. You can watch on AMC.com! The show takes you back to the '80s and the rise of the computer with four friends who are in business together. The series takes them in wildly different, but mostly successful directions, and what happens along the way is incredible.

6. Frequency

Frequency has been in a ratings freefall over the past few weeks. The writing and performances are all over the place at times, but there are moments when Frequency shows signs of brilliance and incredible potential. More people need to start tuning into this show in order to give it a shot at renewal and a second chance with fans.

7. Z Nation

You want a fun show about the zombie apocalypse with depth, great characters, and inventive zombie scenarios? Then Z Nation beats 'you know who.'

8. Chicago Franchise

I'm going to give this one this year to the Chicago franchise. I have many picks in this category (hahaha), but I was surprised when I started watching how many people around me said they hadn't seen an episode of Fire, or Med, or P.D. yet. Come on, people. They may not be the coolest shows, but they're good.

9. Pitch

Pitch has blown me away from beginning to end, but the low ratings continue to baffle me.It's from Dan Fogelman, the creator responsible for the biggest hit of the season This Is Us. That alone should get it a little bit of love, because clearly this man knows what he's doing. Yet, people continue to sleep on this well written series. Pitch has some of the best writing I've seen in a bit, and it definitely has one of the best cast on televison. Not to mention one of the most diverse cast (and crew) there is to offer. Two biracial leads (little known fact, Zack Morris is Asian, guys!) and women are every bit as prevalent behind the scenes as they are in front of them. Kylie Bunbury is sent from the heavens. Mark-Paul Gosselaar has outdone himself as Mike Lawson. Not to mention we have the iconic Dan Lauria, Mark Consuelos, Ali Larter, Mo McCrae, and Megan Holder. Even their guest stars are incredible. Pitch has a loyal, devout, and determined fanbase (affectionately called "Pitches") that interacts with the cast and crew regularly and had the show trending on Twitter every week, and yet the ratings just aren't there. It's such a refreshing sports/family/friendship dramedy with a lot of heart. It's a crying shame, a travesty that it doesn't get more love.

10. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is one of the funniest shows on TV, Rachel Bloom is one of the funniest women on the planet, critics have a love affair with the series, and for whatever reason, the show hasn't hooked an audience! The world needs to wise up to the laughs that get delivered from West Covina every week.

11. The Good Place

The Good Place is so – well, good! The show has a unique concept – a comedic display of heaven and hell. It has an amazing ensemble cast led by Kristen Bell and Ted Danson. The writing is intelligent and witty. It's shocking to me that more people aren't in love with The Good Place, especially since it came from the same mind behind Parks and Recreation, Mike Schur.
