What happens when you're facing retribution?
You're held accountable for all of your sins. Some of the characters below will be held accountable by us, the viewers, others by their on air children, friends or enemies.
No matter the reason, they'd best start looking over their shoulders, their time is coming.
As the saying goes, Beware the Ides of March!
Malcolm Merlyn - Arrow
Malcolm has done so much evil and escaped death at least three times. We probably won't be lucky enough to find him in the grave on Arrow this season, but he best keep both eyes over his shoulder. He'll get his yet. And if he doesn't, one of us might crawl through the TV screen to deliver it to him!!
Norman Bates - Bates Motel
It's hard to root for Norman to go down, but go down he must. He's a danger to himself and others. That was even the name of the Bates Motel Season 4 premiere. We're not kidding around here.
Valentine Morgenstern - Shadowhunters
This poor guy has the last name Morgenstern. We should just give him a pass for that travesty. But, he's the big bad on Shadowhunters, so you know what? We'll have to wish him good morrow.
Negan - The Walking Dead
We have no idea what Jeffrey Dean Morgan is bringing to The Walking Dead as Negan. We know Negan is like Hell on legs, and seeing Morgan's beautiful smile as the ultimate satan will be difficult. We also know everyone we love is already after him. But his comic status? Alive. That has to mean a lifetime of comeuppance, right?
Black Jack Randall - Outlander
Not only will Jamie be and Claire be in Paris working to stop the Jacobite rebellion, but Jamie will come face to face with his biggest enemy, Black Jack Randall. Keep looking over your shoulder, Randall.
Lucifer Morningstar - Lucifer
Nobody but Lucifer really wants him to be living free and easy in Los Angeles. He has many people hell bent on sending him back to...well...hell. For him, looking over his shoulder means being reminded of where his wings once were. Maybe he needs that constant reminder.
Lucious Lyon - Empire
Empire has been gone forever. When it returns, Lucious will be down, thanks to machinations by Hakeem. But he's not been pushed down far enough yet. He needs to keep watch, because we have little doubt Hakeem has more aimed at daddy dearest.
Zoom - The Flash
I'd love to call him by name, but I'm not convinced Jay Garrick's face is housing Jay Garrick's soul, so we'll give the name a break. Whoever is wearing that body, though? Beware, buddy, be very ware!!
Mr. Boss - iZombie
Most importantly, we're hoping Mr. Boss goes because he's a boring and goofy villain who instills no fear. Therefore, not only are the characters gunning for him, we are too. Sorry, dude. Beware the fans. That's a thing, too.
Elizabeth and Philip Jennings - The Americans
You've been getting away with living a dual life on The Americans, but now that your daughter knows your secret, will it really be that easy? Is anything with teenage girls easy? Imagine being Soviet spies. Their own daughter might be their downfall.
Vandal Savage - DC's Legends of Tomorrow
Savage is probably tired of looking over his shoulder on DC's Legends of Tomorrow he's been killed so many times by the (possible) future legends already, but one of these days, Hawkgirl or her dead soulmate will put him down for good. Oh goody gumdrops!!
Noah Solloway - The Affair
"Protecting" two women by taking the fall for the death of Scotty Lockhart may sound noble, but he's dragged out what could have been an accident into an even bigger crime. Beware what being a knight in tarnished armor will get you, Noah.
The Villains - Gotham
You know, Gotham is all about the villains. The entire second season has been about their rise, and now their wrath. Sooner or later, they have to get what's coming to them. Even so, it seems Jim and Harvey have more reason to look over their shoulders than Oswald Cobblepot or Ed Nygma.
