Tattoos are a growing love for many people right now, and it doesn't look like it is stopping any time soon.
A lot of it is even starting to reflect on our TV screens, with some of our favorite shows offering characters with great tattoos.
In a way so much of who a character is and will continue to be is reflected in the ink that they share with the audience.
23 Female TV Characters That Have Perfected The Look™
It defines characters in various ways, and even get to tell their own individual stories that way.
In fact, some of these stories are so inspiring that fans are getting their own tattoos based off the ones they see their favorite TV characters showing off.
Here is a slideshow that collected some of television's most attention grabbing tattoos. Which character do you think has the coolest looking ink?
Lexa (The 100)
With the number of fans that have recreated one or both of Lexa's tattoos, it would feel ridiculous not to add her to this list.
Oliver Queen (Arrow)
Oliver may have been a man of mystery in many ways, but his tattoo display was far from a secret. Something tells me though that Arrow fans were grateful for that distinction.
Saya Kuroki (Deadly Class)
Saya was a scene-stealing character no matter what, yet it was her tattoos that we still look back on so much. She pulled it off in a way many of us wish we could too.
Max Evans (Roswell, New Mexico)
Fans could always use the excuse of wanting to see Max's tattoos as a way to get him shirtless on the show. I'm just saying ...
Isabelle Lightwood (Shadowhunters)
Many characters on Shadowhunters had the parabatai rune designs, so Isabelle was the one that we wanted to highlight because it felt like she deserved that extra appreciation.
Jax Teller (Sons of Anarchy)
The tattoo was legendary, it represented not only Jax but the story that the entire show was telling for years to come.
Remi "Jane Doe" Briggs (Blindspot)
The answers were all linked to those tattoos that Blindspot focused on. "Jane Doe" wouldn't have been the character that she became if she didn't grab our attention in the pilot with her ink.
Seth Gecko (From Dusk Till Dawn)
There is plenty to miss about From Dusk Till Dawn, and Seth's tattoos are at the top of that list for sure.
Rio (Good Girls)
Maybe Rio's tattoos are so iconic that we are only worthy of this small peek that this slideshow is letting us have.
Luna (The 100)
Blink and you will miss it but Luna offered a different take on the Grounder tattoos. This also may or may not have been an excuse to take a walk down the Sea Mechanic road, except it definitely was.
Klaus Mikaelson (The Vampire Diaries)
There is something so hilarious about a thousand-year-old hybrid showing off his mainstream tattoos. The feathers and the birds are a staple in today's tattoo market, and Klaus didn't look like the typical clientele for that artwork.
Scott McCall (Teen Wolf)
It was a shakeup for Scott and for the audience to see this new tattoo on the male lead. But to be honest, no one was as shocked as Stiles was when he got to see the magic happen.
Rachel Goldberg and Quinn King (UnReal)
Rachel and Quinn had their rollercoaster relationship, but when you get a matching tattoo then you have to be friends for life.
Tate Langdon (American Horror Story)
This wasn't exactly a tattoo, yet it looked the part for sure. It was attention-grabbing though, a constant in Tumblr circles and in what it represented for those that grew attached to this epic face makeup.
This was a difficult choice to make when the options were all so perfect, so let's just blame it on how funny this moment is even if it draws away from his tattoos.
Tina Belcher (Bob's Burgers)
No matter what tattoo idea you may have, it is better to just face the facts now. Tina nailed it in a way none of us will ever get to and she deserves that tattoo attention.
Angel (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Did we like Angel's tattoo or did we like when he didn't wear a shirt? The world may never know.
Michael Scofield (Prison Break)
The fact that Michael was covered in tattoos was one thing, but it was more about the why of it all. Planning to get his brother out of prison by displaying the blueprints of the prison all over his body? Absolute genius move.
Angel Reyes (Mayans M.C.)
There is no tattoo slideshow with Angel and his killer tattoo addition. Having the number of tattoos that he does can't always work on everyone, but it is a highlight of who he is.
