Billy Campbell returns as Dr. Alan Farragut and Steven Weber plays the mysterious Brother Michael on Helix Season 2 Premiering January 16 at 10/9c on Syfy.

When last we saw Dr. Alan Farragut (Billy Campbell) he had gone rogue and was investigating the Ilaria Corporation. The Narvik virus survived the Arctic Biosystems explosion and as Alan continues to search for traces of it he discovers a brand new contagion instead.

Alan's brother Dr. Peter Farragut (Neil Napier) was Season 1's "patient zero." He managed to survive his Narvik ordeal and this year travels to a strange remote island with a new CDC team to investigate another outbreak.

Dr. Julia Walker's (Kyra Zagorsky) life was forever altered last season. She not only learned the manipulative, Hatake, was her father but she survived the virus and came out the other side... immortal. This season, she's in league with the Ilaria Corporation while searching for her greater purpose in life.

The events of Season 1 have given Dr. Sarah Jordan (Jordan Hayes) a new perspective. That's only natural, because just like Julia, she is now immortal. Sarah is part of the task force sent to the island to investigate an outbreak. Probably not a great idea for a mother-to-be.

Dr. Kyle Sommer (Matt Long) is one of several new faces introduced in Season 2. He's a charming Texan, toxicologist and the newest member of the CDC team. Kyle missed all the Season 1 madness, but what he experiences on the island will change him in much the same way as last season's survivors.

Dr. Peter Farragut (Neil Napier), Dr. Sarah Jordan (Jordan Hayes) and Dr. Kyle Sommer (Matt Long) arrive at a mysterious and remote island. That's right, the Ilaria Corporation's reach is vast, and a deadly new virus poses quite a threat in Season 2.

It's probably safe to say that Brother Michael (Steven Weber) is this season's Hatake. He's the head of a mysterious order (cult?) living on the island. Brother Michael is pro-nature and a lover of science, but does he have ties to the Ilaria Corporation?

Brother Michael (Steven Weber) and the order's very different three sisters; Sister Agnes (Clare Coulter), Sister Anne (Severn Thompson) and Sister Amy (Alison Louder).

Sister Agnes is the wise one, Sister Amy the manipulative and immoral one and Sister Anne is the Abbey's most devoted follower.
