If you're still feeling there is some kind sexual vibe happening between Annalise and West, you're not the only one. Nowalk explained: "Wes is obviously very important to her. Keeping certain things from Wes is really important to her, so she's going to do whatever she has to do to keep everyone calm and safe, whether that’s using sex or manipulating him in some way or whether those are genuine feelings, but it’s not there for no reason. We’re going to tell the story."

"We quickly made that decision last year," said Nowalk. However, the writers killed her off without fully knowing who did the deed. "It was a few weeks into the hiatus that I found my mind wandering there when I was in the grocery store." The reason it was decided to be Bonnie? "It wasn’t so much about surprise as much as it was about a character reveal and that’s a character who I believed would do it knowing what I know about her backstory."

Nowalk teased that we'll find out sooner than later more as to who Bonnie actually killed Rebecca for: "I like to think ‘who has that in them?' What allows someone to be able to shut down that way, as [Bonnie] did in that moment and I think Annalise was right when she asked did she do this for Sam, or did she do it for Annalise? And I think that’s a question that definitely comes up this Thursday again." And, yes, we’ll be seeing Sam again this season in flashbacks.

While she'll need to fine-tune her gaydar, Michaela comes into the new season unattached romantically. "Because she’s single and she, to me, is actually becoming a lot more of who she is at her core," said Nowalk. While he said she spent the first season in a fairytale with her engagement (which she broke off), we'll see her get more real in the coming episodes. "We’re going to find a little bit more about her background," Nowalk promised.
