New Girl may have been a sitcom filled with hilarity and crazy shenanigans, but there was one thing about the show that was always quite serious; Nick and Jess' constant support of each other.
After years of buildup, Nick and Jess finally got married on New Girl's seventh and final season. But no matter where they were at in the show, Nick and Jess always had a crazy strong connection.
While their relationship was filled with its share of ups and downs, they ended up having the kind of weird, wonderful life that we all strive for.

1. When they won $8 on 3x05 "The Box"
When Jess inspires Nick to make a lifestyle change he opens up his first checking account. Nick is clearly unhappy about the $8 processing fee, so she fights the banker and proves that no matter how ridiculous it may be, she supports him unconditionally.
2. When Nick threw Jess a surprise party on 3x13 "Birthday"
This wasn't just your average birthday party. Disappointed by Nick's lack of preparation, Jess went to the movies by herself only to discover that Nick had filled the entire theater with her friends. He played her a personalized birthday message on the big screen which brought Jess to tears.
3. When Jess dressed up as Elvis to support Nick on 2x20 "Chicago"
After the death of Nick's father, Jess does her best to help Nick and his family in any way she can. She took it upon herself to dress up as Elvis and perform a song in order to give Nick's dad the funeral he wanted.
4. When Nick wanted a weird wonferful life with Jess on 7x07 "The Curse of the Pirate Bride"
This entire sentence sums them up perfectly. Who wouldn't want a weird wonderful life like Nick and Jess'?
5. When they did the chicken dance on 1x03 "Wedding"
To make up for his earlier behavior, Nick takes Jess onto the dance floor to do her signature chicken dance. No matter how crazy it may have looked, neither of them could keep the smiles off their faces.
6. When Nick's imperfect proposal is perfect on 7x06 "Mario"
It may not have gone as planned, but it was still a proposal to die for. Nick just wanted the whole thing to be perfect but Jess reassured him by saying, "Of course it's perfect. It's you and me. That's as perfect as it gets."
7. When Jess ate the fish Nick caught on 3x10 "Thanksgiving III"
In order to make Nick feel better about his wilderness skills, Jess ate the diseased fish he caught despite his protests. Although it caused Jess to become delirious and be admitted to the hospital, it really showed just how far she would go for Nick's happiness.
8. When they were partners in crime on 2x14 "Pepperwood"
If you can't have fun in a relationship than what's the point? Although in this particular instance, Nick was far more concerned with Jess' student being a possible serial killer than anything else.
9. When Nick revealed he was always in love with Jess on 3x15 "Exes"
A couple of seasons later and we finally found out why Nick left Caroline. He was in love with Jess the entire time. But let's be honest -- that's really no surprise.
10. When Jess was Nick's jam buddy on 2x25 "Elaine's Big Day"
Did Nick really make Jess come out to his car just so he could jam out to Cotton Eye Joe with her? That's true relationship goals right there.
11. When they're in it together (cat murder and all) on 7x04 "Where the Road Goes"
The love these two have for each other is everlasting. Jess tells Nick that there's nothing that he could ever do that could scare her off. Even if cat murder is involved, these guys are in it for the long haul.
12. When Nick stuck his finger in a cigarette lighter on 3x03 "Double Date"
As hilarious as this was, it was also insanely sweet. Find yourself a guy who will stick his finger in a cigarette lighter so you'll both be in the same amount of pain.
13. When Nick missed his flight to cheer Jess up on 1x09 "The 23rd"
After a devastating breakup, Nick took Jess to see the Christmas lights even though he would miss his flight for the fifth year in a row. When the lights were all off, he shouted at the neighborhood to turn them on. No matter the circumstance, Nick always put Jess' happiness before his own. But let's face it, when Jess is happy, so is he.
14. When Jess was so in love with Nick everyone could see it on 5x21 "Wedding Eve"
There was one major reason why Jess could never marry Sam or anyone for that matter. It was so obvious that even her boyfriend could tell she never stopped loving Nick.
15. When Nick dedicated his book to Jess on 6x01"House Hunt"
Without Jess, Nick never would have persevered and written The Pepperwood Chronicles. He ended up dedicating the first book to her which was beyond adorable.
16. When they ran away to Mexico together on 3x01 "All In"
Nick and Jess were so excited about their new relationship that they literally dropped everything and drove to Mexico. Turns out, they really were all in.
17. When Nick danced to Taylor Swift on 2x16 "Marriage"
After Nick kissed Jess and caused Jess' boyfriend to dump her, Nick felt pretty bad about the whole situation. He ended up dancing to Taylor Swift to try and cheer her up. Granted, Jess just wanted to be sad and listen to Taylor Swift alone, but it was a good effort.
