Temperatures look set to flare for Stefan in a few weeks. 

On just released pictures from The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 17, the troubled Salvatore brother is still on the run from Rayna and he looks terrible. 

For the most part, it looks like Alaric and Valerie are keeping Rayna in captivity while Stefan gains some ground on her, but it looks like he's too busy saving lives to care about his own. 

There's a school bus that's very much on fire and it looks like he may be a little too late to save anyone. 

The official episode description teases that Stefan is still in shock after Damon's decision at the conclusion of The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 16, but we need to tune in to find out what went down.
