TV Fanatic Character Crushes

at .

The TV Fanatics bear their souls by revealing their TV crushes – who they would have traded places with at one point or another in their formative years. Take a look!

1. Kelly Kapowski -- Saved by the Bell

Miranda: I wanted to be Kelly Kapowski but I was always a little more Jessie Spano. Minus that whole caffeine pills incident. #Nerd

2. Bailey Salinger -- Party of Five

Matt: I wanted to be Bailey Salinger in high school. The guy got to have sex with Jennifer Love Hewitt's Sarah.

3. Kimberly Ann Heart -- The Pink Power Ranger

Stacy: I wanted to be Kimberly the Pink Ranger from the Power Rangers. I've always been drawn to strong female characters and she had some seriously bad-ass moves!

4. Juliet -- V (Original Miniseries)

Carla: I wanted to be Juliet from the V miniseries (without being tortured). She was someone I looked up to on TV for her strength and conviction.

5. Jaime Sommers -- The Bionic Woman

Carissa: I wanted to be The Bionic Woman, Jaime Sommers. She was beautiful, smart and she still fit in with regular society. Loved her hair and she was a teacher, which I loved to play as a kid! Plus, she dated the Six Million Dollar Man (Farrah Fawcett's husband, Lee Majors) so I could pull double duty when playing other TV show greats (Jill on Charlie's Angels)!

6. Nikita -- La Femme Nikita

Amanda F.: I spent high school wanting to be Peta Wilson's Nikita from the La Femme Nikita television show. Sure, Maggie Q is pretty badass in the reboot, but Wilson will always be TV's Nikita to me. Like Season 1 Nikita, I collected sunglasses and strung them across my bedroom on a paperclip and safety pin chain and spent the better part of a year trying to convince my mom to let me go to the convention in Canada. Nikita had ridiculous style, killer confidence and could kick serious ass. Nikita also got me active in the pre-Twitter fandom of e-mail mailing lists. Shout out to "Section 2" – if any other posters are still out there in TV land! Thanks for listening/enabling! (I have no problem admitting how big a TV nerd I was/still am.)

7. McGyver

Robin: I'm not ashamed to admit I wanted to be MacGyver, or some sort of female MacGyver analogue. I love science, and I love heroes, and MacGyver had the best of both worlds. All I wanted was to be that resourceful and that smart!! Good grief, I was a nerd even then.

8. Diana Prince -- Wonder Woman

Terri: Carissa, we really are twins. For me it was the Bionic Woman, Wonder Woman and Charlie's Angels. But overall Wonder Woman was probably the one I wanted most to be. She was strong, smart, beautiful, had an invisible plane, could change her clothes with a twirl and saved the day.

9. Susan Ivanova -- Babylon 5

Katie: I always admired Susan Ivanova from Babylon 5: she told it like she saw it, didn't take any bull-puckey from anyone, and had some of the greatest lines in the entire series.

To wit: "And just one more thing. On your trip back, I want you to take the time to learn the Babylon 5 mantra: Ivanova is always right. I will listen to Ivanova. I will not ignore Ivanova's recommendations. Ivanova is God. And if this ever happens again, Ivanova will personally rip your lungs out! Babylon Control out."

10. Xander Harris -- Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Paul: I wanted to be Xander Harris from Buffy. He got to hang with the Scooby gang.

11. Lisa Turtle -- Saved by the Bell

Whitney: I wanted to be Lisa Turtle so, so badly! I wanted to live in California, be best friends with Kelly and Jessie and have all the best clothes. Plus, she got kiss Zack that one time.

12. Lizzie McGuire

Mary Kate: I wanted to be Lizzie McGuire. I related her dorkiness and wanted to have friends like Gordo and Miranda. Plus, who wouldn't want to be mistaken for an Italian pop star in 8th grade?!?!

13. Hank Moody -- Californication

Doug: Does it have to be from when we were kids? I never related so much to a character as I did Hank Moody on Californication. That carefree lifestyle, while living in sunny SoCal just appealed to me. Plus, having all of those weird friends and wild times…..I can see how it may help with a writer’s creativity. It’s entirely possible I haven’t outlived my teenager years just yet. Which is kind of what Hank was too – an overgrown teenager.

14. Jesse Spano -- Saved by the Bell

Ashley: Why don't we just cover all the Saved by the Bell ladies? Because I definitely wanted to be Jesse Spano!

15. Buffy Summers -- Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Samantha: Oh and I easily wanted to be Buffy. What can I say, how could I resist wanting to be a girl who not only kicks ass, BUT also gets guys like Angel and Spike?!

16. Piper Halliwell -- Charmed

Lindsay: Kimberly the pink power ranger was definitely a life goal, but no lie, I absolutely wanted to be Piper from Charmed. A kickass witch with an adorable husband who doubled as an angel? Yeah, that's the life for me.

17. Hannibal Smith -- The A-Team

Christine: When I was a kid I desperately wanted to be a part of The A-Team. No, not Amy or Tania. They were boring. I wanted to play with the guys, go on adventures and be a part of the team. I was never a huge Mr. T fan but I loved eorge Peppard as Hannibal Smith, and I thought Faceman and Murdock were such fun. As a matter of fact, the first time I spoke to a cute boy in my class, it was about The A-Team.

18. Joey Potter -- Dawson's Creek

Amanda S.: I wanted to be Buffy! She was strong, brave, and knew how to kick ass and save the world. A close second is Joey Potter from Dawson's Creek, but that's mainly because I wanted to be with Pacey.
