Have you been enjoying having Star paired with Empire on a more permanent basis on Wednesdays this Fall?
If so, then you will be glad to know that Fox is taking note of the show's success post-Empire and has added on an addition episodes to Star Season 2.

That puts it right on in line with Empire Season 4's episode order, and that probably means both series will be sticking together for the duration.
Star follows three girls who are trying to make a splash as a girl band in the music business and the effect their career aspirations have on those closest to them.
It is the perfect companion to Empire because of the whole music aspect, and of course, both shows come from the mind of Lee Daniels. The shows also crossed over in September, and it was a ratings success.

Star initially launched last December as a sneak peek out of the midseason finale of Empire. It began with 6.7 million viewers and a 2.2 rating among adults 18-49.
Star Season 1 ultimately averaged 4.2 million viewers and a 1.3 rating, which represents solid figures for Fox these days.
Through two episodes, the latest season is up almost 20 percent, and that was apparently good enough for Fox to give the green light for some additional episodes.

The show is performing well by Fox's standards, and if it continues on the same path, it will be a lock for an additional season.
The network has struggled to find something to pair with Empire since the juggernaut's inception back in 2015. Rosewood and Lethal Weapon were not exactly compatible.
