John McCook (born June 20, 1945, Ventura, California) is an Emmy Award-nominated actor best known for his roles on two daytime soap operas.
From 1975 to 1980, he played the character of Lance Prentiss on The Young and the Restless. Since 1987 he has played the role of Eric Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful.
In addition to his acclaimed work on daytime television, he has appeared as a guest in episodes on dozens of primetime series.
John McCook has been married since 1980 to former actress Laurette Spang, with whom he has three children, Jake Thomas (born 1981), Rebecca Jeanne (born 1983), and Molly Jane (born 1990).
He was married twice previously, including dancer Juliet Prowse from 1972 to 1979, with whom he had one son (born 1972).
