Simon Baker has earned an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Patrick Jane on The Mentalist. The Australian actor had previously appeared in the short-lived show Smith.
In 1992, he received Australia’s prestigious Logie award for Most Popular New Talent. From there, Baker relocated to Los Angeles and landed a key role in the movie L.A. Confidential. He is married with three children.
In a cool tidbit, actressNaomi Watts is the godmother of Baker’s son Claude.
