Super news for Supergirl Fanatics:
CBS has picked up the new drama for a full season.
The Greg Berlanti-produced, Melissa Benoist-anchored drama has received an order for seven additional episodes, bringing its first season total to 20.
Supergirl Season 1 Episode 1 aired in October to 13 million viewers and a 3.1 rating among young adults, tying NBC’s Blindspot as the most-watched new series of the fall.
The show’s rating have since come back to Earth a bit, with its most recent outing garnering a series-low 7.2 million and a 1.5 rating.
Still, the network notes via press release that Supergirl has improved the its time slot from a year ago by 46 percent in viewers and 40 percent in adults ages 18-49; i.e. the only viewers advertisers care about.
