Sam and Dean investigate a string of murders all involving the heart being ripped out.
They discover that the suspected killers are recipients of organs from the same donor: ex-football star, Brick Holmes.
Turns out Brick Holmes is a 1000 year old Mayan who made a deal with the god of Maize, Cacao, in order to continue to stay young and excel at sports. He had to make two sacrifices to keep it going.
The brothers learn of a Betsy, Brian’s love, and she reveals to them that in order to stop the ritual from continuing, they need to destroy the heart.
Dean stabs the heart, defeating the other attacking organ recipients.
Sam tells Dean that after Kevin and the Demon tablet, he is going to quit. He flashes back to a birthday picnic with Amelia.
