The Blacklist Season 8 Episode 17 Recap: Ivan Stepanov

Townsend is torturing Stepanov to get answers from him. Red has called Harold to get the Task Force to retrieve Stepanov. Harold declines in order to give Liz time to squeeze intel from Stepanov about N-13. Harold determines that Townsend hacked Ressler's phone. They figure out Townsend alone has Stepanov so Harold decides to have the Task Force go after Stepanov. Priya attempts to poison Townsend with tea. Liz bursts in before he drinks and knocks the cup out of his hand. He agrees to let her join him in questioning Stepanov. Red has Priya text Dembe the address of Townsend's office. Red decides to involve the Task Force again. Townsend and Liz leave and Red orders Priya to follow them. Aram finds the accounting firm that's cover for Townsend's office. Red orders Priya to follow Townsend and Liz into the warehouse where Stepanov is being held. Stepanov recognizes Liz as Masha. Liz sneaks up on Priya who tells her that Reddington sent her to warn Liz. With Liz out of the room, Stepanov whispers intel to Townsend. Whatever Stepanov told Townsend turned him against Liz. Before Townsend can leave, Red's forces break into his hiding place. They rescue Liz and Priya. Red finds Stepanov. They are all locked inside a cooler. Aram and Ressler see Raymond with Stepanov by video. Stepanov has been shot and needs a doctor. Priya rigs the shock collar to electrocute those cutting through the cooler door. Red's driver gets shot dead. Liz jumps out of the van with a flash bang. The FBI rushes in as Red's van escapes. Priya departs with millions of gems she stole from Townsend. Raymond refuses to blame Stepanov. Reddington stalls the Task Force and Stepanov has been spirited away. Red tells Harold they are all Townsend's targets now.
