The Conners is coming to ABC this fall, and the Roseanne Barr-less series has begun production in California.
The network has offered up the first look at the new series in the form of the cast sitting around the table in the Conner household.
Series regulars, Sara Gilbert, Jayden Rey, Michael Fishman, Ames McNamara, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson and Emma Kenney, are all present in the picture.
This will be the first time the actors have filmed together since Roseanne was canceled by ABC in May, despite being one of the most-watched shows on television.

The network made the decision following a racist tweet from its leading lady in which she compared Obama's former aide, Valerie Jarrett, to an "ape."
"Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” said ABC President, Channing Dungey in a statement confirming it was the end of the line for the successful series.
The Conners rose the phoenix from the show's ashes just weeks later, and Barr will have no involvement whatsoever with it.

“The Conners stories demonstrate that families can always find common ground through conversation, laughter, and love. The spinoff will continue to portray contemporary issues that are as relevant today as they were 30 years ago,” ABC shared in a statement of the new series.
In support of their new series, cast members John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson and Michael Fishman said, in a joint statement:
“We have received a tremendous amount of support from fans of our show, and its clear that these characters not only have a place in our hearts but in the hearts and homes of our audience.
