Tandy finds out its Lewis and his partners anniversary. He wants to road trip to their old house in Seattle.
Carol wants Gail to be the grandmother of her baby but in order for that to happen Gail has to legally adopt her.
Melissa is still set on having a baby with Todd. She sets up a strange sexual role play situation in which they are characters from Shawshank Redemption. Todd is freaked out and screams that something is wrong with her and she needs help.
Carol doesn't understand why Gail doesn't want to adopt her. As they fight about it, the two sound just like a mother and daughter.
Tandy forces Lewis to go to Seattle. He wants him to leave a note in case Mark comes back but Lewis refuses. Genuinely upset, Tandy tells him the story of his "alive in Tucson" signs without which he wouldn't have Carol.
Gail tells Carol that she doesn't want to be a mother because she already was one and her son died. Carol feels awful and admits that she just misses her mom and loves Gail. Gail says she loves her too and agrees to adopt her.
Lewis is moved by Tandy's story and leaves a note. On the way home they talk about Mike. Tandy realizes he has to know what happened to his brother but when the get to his childhood home, he's too scared to open the door so he just leaves a note.
