According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress has been cast in the mysteriously evil role of Dahlia, the aunt of the Mikaelson siblings whose arrival has been teased for some time now on The Originals Season 2.
The character raised long-lost sister Freya and then froze her inside a coffin for 100 years.
She helped her own younger sister, Esther, conceive many centuries ago, but only in return for the first born of every generation.
Now that the secret of baby Hope is out, and the child is clearly exhibiting some kind of magic power, Dahlia will swoop into town and cause SERIOUS problems for Klaus and company.
Look for Black to debut as Dahlia on The Originals Season 2 Episode 16, which airs on Monday, March 9 at 8/7c.
A veteran of the small screen, Black has appeared on such shows as Haven, 90210 and Rick and Morty.
