The Passage is over at FOX.
The vampire drama has been axed after one moderately rated season.

It focused on a secret government medical facility that was experimenting with a dangerous virus that could either cure all disease or cause the downfall of the human race.
10‐year‐old Amy Bellafonte was chosen to be a test subject for the experiment, but she had someone looking out for her in Agent Brad Wolgast, the federal agent who became her surrogate father as he tries to protect her.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Saniyya Sidney, Jamie McShane, Caroline Chikezie, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Brianne Howey, McKinley Belcher III, Henry Ian Cusick, and Vincent Piazza were all part of the cast.

The Passage Season 1 averaged 3.7 million total viewers and a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 in live + same day metrics.
It was a strong performer in delayed viewing. The show ranked ninth out of FOX's sixteen scripted series, so it spent most of the time it was on the air on the bubble.
Additionally, FOX recently became an independent broadcaster, meaning that the network had to negotiate new deals to bring shows back.

On top of that, the network is giving up Thursdays in the fall to wrestling, making it more competitive for shows to snag a renewal.

The Passage joins The Cool Kids, Rel, and The Gifted on the cancellation heap.
9-1-1, Empire, The Simpsons, Last Man Standing, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, and The Resident have all been renewed.

The jury is still out on Proven Innocent, Lethal Weapon, Star, and The Orville. Star has a chance based on its compatibility with Empire, while Lethal Weapon and Proven Innocent are not expected to continue.
