After playing poker when he was supposed to be working late, Homer gets trapped in an elevator with a woman in labor. He helps deliver the child and then becomes involved in the fatherless boy's life. Marge gets upset that he spends more time with this baby than his own children, but eventually the baby's father returns. Meanwhile, Lisa helps the Springfield Atomettes organize and strike for more money.
