The X-Files (5.2 million/1.4 rating) made its big return to Fox last night, but the show has seen better days in the ratings.
For comparison purposes, The X-Files Season 10 averaged 9.5 million viewers and a 3.2 rating among adults 18-49.
These are not great figures for the sci-fi drama, but the debut of 9-1-1 (6.8 million/1.8 rating) popped right after.
The new series from Ryan Murphy has received less than stellar reviews from critics but managed to build 25 percent from The X-Files and outperformed Star's average in the slot earlier this season.
NBC: The Blacklist (6 million/1.0 rating), Law & Order: SVU (6.3 million/1.4 rating) and Chicago PD (6.8 million/1.3 rating) all perked up.
CBS: The Amazing Race (7.3 million/1.6 rating) raced to its highest ratings since 2014, while SEAL Team (5.9 million/0.9 rating) and Criminal Minds (5.4 million/0.9 rating) matched their series lows.
ABC: The Goldbergs (5.8 million/1.5 rating), Speechless (4.3 million/1.1 rating), Modern Family (5.9 million/1.7 rating), American Housewife (4.8 million/1.3 rating) and Match Game (3.6 million/0.9 rating) were all on par with their most recent telecasts.
