Bluff City Law Trailer: Jimmy Smits Returns to the Small Screen!

NBC is bringing Jimmy Smits back to the small screen on a regular basis.
The Peacock network today unveiled the first official trailer for legal drama, Bluff City Law.
"Follows the lawyers of an elite Memphis law firm that specializes in the most controversial landmark civil rights cases," reads the logline.
"Led by legendary attorney Elijah Strait and his brilliant daughter, Sydney Keller, they take on the toughest David-and-Goliath cases while navigating their complicated relationship."

The cast also includes Caitlin McGee, Jayne Atkinson, Benny Sloane, Michael Luwoye, Stony Blyden, MaameYaa Boafa.
Dean Georgaris (The Brave) will write and executive produce. Michael Aguliar and David Janollari will executive produce.
NBC revealed earlier today that the series would be airing Mondays at 10/9c in the fall. It's typical for the broacast network to use The Voice to give new shows solid launching pads.
That being said, The Voice has been fading during its current run. Having a big name like Jimmy Smits on the cast list is a huge draw.
The network will probably use much of the promotional budget for this drama because it's the sole new drama series on the fall schedule.
It joins comedies, The Perfect Harmony and Sunnyside.
