Desna Simms of TNT's Claws is not your average small businesswoman.
She runs Nail Artisans of Manatee County in a strip mall in Palmetto, Fla.
To supplement her income, she has laundered money for the Dixie Mafia, led locally by Uncle Daddy.
But she also ended up involved with the Russian mob and the Haitian mob, both of which hoped to move in on Uncle Daddy's pill mills.

Those two organizations were crippled at the end of Claws Season 2 with the deaths of their leaders and that helped Desna to get out from under that mess.
Desna has also received a new opportunity, as she inherited a casino following her short-lived marriage to Haitian mob boss Gregory Ruval.
As the trailer below reveals, running a casino should provide an exciting new backdrop for Desna and her crew, all of whom were facing challenges as last season ended.
Desna's best friend Jenn and her husband Bryce, who was looking to leave behind the Dixie Mafia, were preparing to move to Tampa for a fresh start.
Consummate bullshitter Polly had checked into a mental institution, hoping to strengthen her grip on reality.
Quiet Ann seemed recommitted to sistas over hos, after her relationship with FBI agent Arlene led to Desna's arrest and near-downfall.
Virginia, fiancee of Desna's autistic brother Dean, was shot, taking a bullet that was meant for Desna.
Well, based on the clip, everyone is back supporting Desna, even Virginia, although she's sporting a bedazzled eyepatch.
Also at Desna's side is Roller, Uncle Daddy's younger nephew who is Desna's on-and-off-again lover, despite the fact that they both tried to kill each other on Claws Season 1.
Desna will spin the dice as she enters into a business relationship with a shady couple, Mac and Melba, whose motivations are unknown.
Uncle Daddy also promises to be lurking nearby, although it's hard to say in what capacity.
Claws returns at 9 p.m. Sunday, June 9, on TNT.
