Empire and Star Crossover Promo: It's Happening!

Empire and Star are officially crossing paths on September 27. 

Fox dropped a new promo for both series that teases them crossing paths when they begin their new seasons. 

Yes, as many have speculated, Tarai P. Henson's Cookie Lyon will come face-to-face with Queen Latifah's Carlotta Brown for one night. 

Little is known about the crossover, but we do know that Carlotta will be the sole Star character showing up on Empire Season 4 Episode 1, while Jamal Lyon will hot foot it to Atlanta for Star Season 2 Episode 1. 

The official teaser for the crossover event does not give much away, either. 

"On the brink of Empire Entertainment’s 20th anniversary, Lucious is making his first public appearance after the explosion in Las Vegas, while all members of the Lyon family, as well as Lucious’ nurse, Claudia (guest star Demi Moore), have their own interests in Lucious regaining his physical and mental faculties."

"Then, on Star, the girls – with Carlotta as their manager – continue to face roadblocks, despite their victory at Atlanta NextFest."

Considering it's Empire's 20th anniversary, there's a good chance an invite was extended to Carlotta. Maybe she'll invite Jamal back to Atlanta to be part of the music festival. 

But what's in it for Carlotta? We have no idea, but we're intrigued by the crossover news.
