For the People Season 2 Trailer: Welcome Back to the Mother Court!

at .

There's something about the For the People Season 2 trailer that would make you think it was a trailer for a brand new series.

From the rundown of the buzzy drama's plot to the introduction of all the characters, it seems like ABC thinks people missed the series entirely when it aired earlier this year.

To be fair, For the People Season 1 averaged a mere 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demo. That's not good, and many thought the show would be canceled as a result.

However, ABC gave the show a reprieve, and now it looks like the network is pressing forward with an all-out relaunch. That's not a bad idea, and it will help keep TGIT intact for that little bit longer.

The brand new cases even seem exciting, so there's that.

Leonard Takes on Sandra - For The People Season 1 Episode 6

In fact, the standout case from the new trailer involves a senator who has been gunned down, and the killer shows up asking the team for defense.

Yeah, that's hardly going to go down well.

Coming from the people who brought us Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, and How to Get Away with Murder, it's high time the series upped the ante with shocking twists, and it appears that For the People Season 2 will be delivering all the goodies.

And there's even Charles Michael Davis. He's probably best known for his role on both The Originals and Younger, and he's a fine actor.

ABC has confirmed that For the People will return to the air Thursday, March 7 at 10/9c.
