It's almost time for us to check back in with Lorelai and Rory Gilmore!
Yes, after all these years, the show is returning for a short stint on Netflix.
Who would have thought it would wind up on Netflix of all places?
I mean, the show has aired on both The WB and The CW, so it was odd that it wound up on the streaming giant.
The signature pop culture references are well and truly back and we just can't wait to see what fast dialog the Gilmore women have in store for us.
It's not a full season we're getting, but it's the next best thing.
It's essentially four movies that will span a whole year.
We know there are a lot of past characters returning.
We can't wait to see the likes of Liza Weil and Melissa McCarthy.
It should be intriguing to find out just what has changed after all of those years.
Richard Gilmore will be honored in a big way in the truncated season.
Emily will do this by the way of a huge picture of him and we just can't wait to see what snarky comments she has to say to Rory and Lorelai when they comment on how huge it is.
If that was not enough, a string of men from Rory's back catalog of boyfriends will be booking a return trip to Star's Hollow, but which one of them will she choose?
It's great that Netflix is giving viewers the chance to say a real goodbye to the series after all these years, but we sure hope we leave our favorite characters in a happy place.
It looks like there's conflict in store for Lorelai and Luke and we just can't deal with them breaking up.
Please, keep them together!
