Good Trouble Sneak Peek: Callie and Mariana Get a Huge Surprise

at .

Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) are leaving their family behind and embarking on a new life in Los Angeles.

As always, trouble is not far behind for them.

Freeform has dropped a sneak peek of Good Trouble Season 1 Episode 1, and it finds the sisters bickering over their new living situation.

Callie and Mariana by the Pool - Good Trouble Season 1 Episode 1

Mariana was the one to line up their Los Angeles home and accidentally set them up with a loft in a communal building.

This means they have to share a kitchen and bathroom with everyone else in the property.

It's certainly a good way to bring in other characters without things feeling forced. The Fosters told rich storylines throughout its five-season run, so the spin-off needs to establish its own DNA off the bat.

Callie is not impressed with the living situation and makes her feelings known to Mariana, but the latter is having none of it.

It turns out, Callie told Mariana they had to split the bills 50/50, and it made it difficult to find a residence in WeHo that did not include a communal living situation.

Mariana complains about "the balance of power," and then things get much worse for them.

It sounds like the two women are on drastically different salaries but still wanted to live together.

I'm not going to run down the entire clip, so you can find out for yourself what happens when you click play below.

Good Trouble Quotes

Callie: Why did you call me?
Kathleen: I want you to be my lawyer.

Wilson: Can I ask a favor?
Callie: Of course.
Wilson: I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell the others about my son -- that he's not studying abroad.
Callie: Actually, that night, I did mention that I had seen him. That's all I told them.
