The L Word is returning to Showtime!
That much we've known for a few months now -- and the premium cabler has now dropped the first teaser trailer.
The sequel to the groundbreaking drama series, which originally ran on SHOWTIME from 2004-2009, THE L WORD: GENERATION Q continues to follow the intermingled lives of Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals), Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey) and Shane McCutcheon (Kate Moennig), along with new characters Dani Nùñez (Arienne Mandi), Micah Lee (Leo Sheng), Sarah Finley (Jacqueline Toboni), Sophie Suarez (Rosanny Zayas) and Gigi (Sepideh Moafi) as they experience love, heartbreak, sex, setbacks and success in L.A.
While the first trailer does not give much away, it successfully introduces us to some of the older characters as well as some of the new additions.
There's bound to be a full-length trailer ahead of the show's debut. Showtime previously announced a December 8 premiere date, leading out of Shameless at 10/9c.
The series is currently in production on eight episodes in Los Angeles.
Guest stars for the first season include Brian Michael, Stephanie Allyne, Olivia Thirlby, Fortune Feimster, and Latarsha Rose.
The series is executive produced by showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan (The Four-Faced Liar, 6 Balloons), with series creator Ilene Chaiken, Kristen Campo, Steph Green (pilot), and original series stars Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig, and Leisha Hailey.
